Position: Social Media + Community Coordinator
Location: Pilot Coffee Roasters, Toronto, ON, Hybrid Role
Starting Salary: $50,000 - $54,000
We are currently looking for a full time Social Media + Community Coordinator to join our team! As more people come to appreciate nuance in their daily cup, it’s become even more critical to build community and celebrate everything that makes our industry unique. To do that with excellence, Pilot Coffee Roasters needs the support of a storyteller, a creative person with a keen eye for detail. SOCIAL CHANNEL MANAGEMENT:
- Develop a content plan that aligns with the objectives of the Creative Department.
- Oversee all social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Manage the content calendar and use SMM tools (Metricool) to analyze and grow our presence.
- Share emerging trends and recommendations for new media formats, technologies and platforms.
- Submit monthly and annual reports and track key performance metrics (KPIs).
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO + EDITING
- Shoot, write, edit, and publish engaging platform-specific content using digital and film photography, video shot on iPhone, and other formats.
- Produce content that aesthetically and emotionally resonates with our target audience.
- Curate user-generated content and collaborate with community partners to amplify our reach.
PAID SOCIAL + ADVERTISING
- Share data-driven insights on industry trends and best practices for our paid strategy.
- Serve as a point of contact for external agency partners to ensure seamless ad execution.
- Create high-quality, engaging content for all paid social channels.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
- Work with customer success to address feedback and inquiries from our social channels.
- Work alongside cafe teams and customer-facing staff to be an ambassador for the brand.
- Develop relationships with influencers and creators to generate collaborative opportunities.
- Actively engage with our online community and maintain positive ongoing relationships.
- Occasionally attend events and promotional activities (evenings and weekends may be included) to capture and share content in real time.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
- 2-3 years of experience supporting social media channels
- Strong videography, photography and editing skills.
- Comfortable being on camera and public speaking.
- Creative and proficient with TikTok and Instagram.
- Strong competency in core design platforms (Adobe Creative Suite) and creator tools (Canva, Easil).
- Experience with social media management software (Later, Seed, Hootsuite, etc) is a plus.
- Experience at a DTC, CPG or e-commerce brand is a plus.
- Deep understanding of social media performance and campaign management.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Typical office environment with some exposure to our warehouse.
- Prolonged periods of sitting are required.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, events and holidays based on business needs.
- Some regional travel required
