Maintenance Associate

We're looking for a Maintenance Associate who will be responsible for ensuring the optimal utilization of our Pilot’s facilities while assessing and evaluating the physical space requirements of the organization with recommendations to meet needs. Our hope is that the successful candidate will bring the right skills to support with preventative maintenance and have a high aptitude for learning new skills on the job while supporting all areas of the business, including working directly in our Production Department.

What you'll be doing:
  • Keep our facilities running smoothly by doing general maintenance (cleaning, repairs, installations).
  • Take care of regular upkeep (vehicle maintenance, HVAC, landscaping).
  • Do electrical repairs and planned maintenance.
  • Check for damage and order supplies for repairs.
  • Help with construction, renovations, and moving furniture.
  • Support the Production team during sales and busy times.
  • Help open new cafes.
  • Handle emergencies and work requests quickly.
  • Fix minor equipment problems during cafe visits.
  • General office and admin work (preparing documents, ordering supplies, etc.).

Hours:
  • Varies depending on business needs.
  • Occasional evening and weekends and special projects.

What you need:
  • 3-5 years of technical/equipment experience.
  • Electrical and mechanical skills required.
  • A valid G license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma and some vocational training is a bonus.
  • Good computer skills (Google Suite).
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of WHIMIS, food safety, and health & safety is helpful.
  • Valid Forklift license an asset

Work Conditions:
  • Driving a company vehicle around Toronto/Ottawa and sometimes other places in Canada.
